Zumtobel Group Appoints Saurabh Pandhi as CEO of Tridonic

The Zumtobel Group has appointed Saurabh Pandhi as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tridonic, effective September 14, 2026. In his new role, Pandhi will lead the Group’s technology company into its next phase of development, building on Tridonic’s strong technology and engineering expertise and further advancing its position in intelligent lighting systems, software, connectivity and energy solutions.

As the technology company of the Zumtobel Group, Tridonic plays a central role in the Group's innovation ecosystem. With more than six decades of expertise in lighting technology, Tridonic combines engineering excellence with digital technologies and connectivity to enable intelligent, energy-efficient and sustainable lighting solutions for customers worldwide.

Pandhi brings two decades of international leadership experience in the global lighting industry. Since joining the Zumtobel Group in 2021, he has led Thorn Lighting’s global business, shaping its strategic direction and bringing together teams across markets and functions with a strong focus on customer needs, business performance and long-term growth.

Prior to joining the Zumtobel Group, Pandhi held senior international leadership positions at Sylvania Lighting across European and global markets. Throughout his career, he has led businesses through periods of change and transformation, with a focus on strengthening market positions, developing high-performing international teams and translating technology and customer insight into sustainable business growth.

Pandhi succeeds Hugo Rohner, who has left the company after many years of dedicated service. During his tenure, Rohner made a significant contribution to strengthening Tridonic’s technological leadership and advancing its position as an innovation partner to the global lighting industry.
